Pocket Playbook started as a group chat where a few friends kept swapping tips about the games we couldn't put down. At some point the notes got too good to keep to ourselves, so we turned them into a proper site. Everything you read here comes from real sessions on real phones, not press releases.

We cover a wide spread of genres on purpose. One week it's a slow city-builder, the next it's a twitchy arcade racer. That variety keeps us honest, because a good guide for a puzzle game looks nothing like a good guide for a tactical RPG.,We pick games the way most players do: word of mouth, what's trending, and the occasional hidden gem someone on the team stumbles into. Before anything gets a review, at least two of us play it far enough to have an opinion worth trusting.,Nobody here pretends to be a pro at every genre. When we're out of our depth we say so, and we'd rather admit a game confused us than fake confidence. That's the whole point of the site.
