Emberfall Saga
★★★★★ 4.6
Emberfall Saga is a proper time sink. You build a party of four, each with distinct skill trees, and work through a branching campaign that actually reacts to your choices. Combat is turn-based but leans on positioning and elemental weaknesses, so autobattle only gets you so far.
The writing is better than it needs to be. Side characters have arcs, and a few late-game twists genuinely landed for us. The touch controls for targeting are clean, and swapping party members mid-fight never felt fiddly.
Our only gripe is the inventory screen, which gets crowded fast. Otherwise this is one of the most complete RPG experiences we've played on a phone this year.
What we liked
- Deep skill trees with real build variety
- A story that rewards attention
- Smooth turn-based combat
