Big Rush Cast is one of those games that hides real depth behind a very simple tap. You cast out with a swipe, wait for the meter to hit the sweet spot, and tap to reel in. Miss the window and you lose momentum; nail a string of them and the screen lights up with combo multipliers that carry you into faster rounds.

What surprised us was the pacing. Early stages feel almost relaxing, but by the mid-game the timing windows shrink and the game starts throwing overlapping cues at you. The one-handed controls held up well even during the frantic bits, and we never felt like a loss was the interface's fault rather than our own.

There's a light progression layer with unlockable gear that tweaks your reach and reel speed. It's understated, which we liked. The game respects your time and never nags you to come back.
