Winning Iron Tide Command before the battle starts
It took us a few losses to accept that Iron Tide Command isn't really about the battles. Most fights are decided by the convoys and chokepoints you set up hours earlier.
Our biggest early mistake was overextending. Pushing your fleet toward objectives feels productive, but a stretched supply line is a dead fleet waiting to happen. We learned to secure fuel routes first and advance in short, defensible steps.
Save your heavy ships for guaranteed advantages. The AI is patient and will trade you down if you commit them to a coin-flip fight. Scout, wait, and strike only when the setup favors you.
Once the planning clicks, the battles become a formality, and that's exactly the feeling this game is going for.
