Hollow Lantern
★★★★★ 4.5
Hollow Lantern is a quieter kind of game. You guide a small figure through cave systems, solving light-based puzzles and piecing together what happened to the place from scattered murals. There's no combat to speak of, just atmosphere and curiosity.
The controls are a simple drag-to-move with contextual taps, which keeps your attention on the world rather than the buttons. Puzzles are fair; we only got stuck once, and the answer was hiding in plain sight the whole time.
It's the sort of game best played with headphones late at night. Short, but it stayed with us.
